North Powder Cafe and Lounge

During a family road trip, we stopped for a quick breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the food. The homemade dishes, reminiscent of a grandmother's cooking, were a hit even with our discerning children. We will certainly add this establishment to our list of recommended locations. Furthermore, the service was outstanding, provided with friendly and welcoming smiles.

This place is a gem. They definitely know how to cook. We have been here several times, and tried many of there menu items. The staff is always kind, knowledgeable and efficient. We have never had a bad experience here. If your soul is in need of some heavy comfort food head here.

A friend and I ate in and i had a garlic western. It was so salty that the salt overpowered the sweet baby ray bbq sauce and the bacon as well as the burger were both burnt. My friends meal was "amazing" as he put it...Also i Ordered a club with onion rings to go but while paying and waiting for it I noticed the cook came out with my order and then for whatever reason he looked at me, took the Togo order back Into the kitchen and then brought it back out with different sized Togo boxes. Anyways I Got home and had a sloppy club sandwich with potato salad... But with all that being said I think that the owner is a delightful person and I just feel like she should know when things aren't up to par. Also I wouldn't want anyone to be discouraged to eat here because 9/10 times it's always been amazing.

The North Powder Cafe serves a true “full meal deal.” The food is delicious, and they do not scrimp on the portions they serve. We always have more than enough to take home for a second meal. The service is swift and friendly, and it is always fun to eat here. Plus, the milkshakes are thick and delicious!

When commuting from Walla Walla WA to Meridian ID this is a must stop. The service is right on target and when your food arrives you will be taken back by the cooks care and ability to plate your food properly . The cook pays attention to detail. This is not found in many cafes today. The food is scrumptious.

Amazing service. Great food. I don't know what atmosphere is but it looks pretty nice and cozy, plus good heating and cooling. We stopped here on our journey back to Washington from Yosemite, and I'm glad we did. Prob the only time I'll write a review but if you're on I-84 and need a place to stop, this is a good place. Near a gas station with diesel and plenty of open space if you need to park and sleep overnight.

I've driven many miles across this beautiful country & All I've got to say is. Best chx fried steak I've ever had. The huckleberry pie also phenomenal Service was great, Katie was a gem, very attentive, checked on all tables leaving no one unattended

Best place to stop. Milkshakes, breakfast, burgers, and dinner entrees. Yum yum. Great quality burgers. Happy tummy!
